Seri Pajam Development Showcases SPD Tech Valley at China expo

Shanghai, November 5, 2024 – Seri Pajam Development proudly presented its flagship project, SPD Tech Valley, at the 2024 China International Import Expo (CIIE), held from November 5 to 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC) in Shanghai. As Southeast Asia’s first industrial park to achieve LEED Gold pre-certification, SPD Tech Valley showcased its excellence in green architecture, smart management, and sustainable design, garnering widespread attention.

We were deeply honored that Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, officiated the opening of the Malaysia Pavilion at the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) and paid a special visit to the SPD Tech Valley booth. At the booth, Negeri Sembilan State Executive Councilor YB Teo Kok Seong and Seri Pajam Development CEO Mr. Thomas Ten had the opportunity to present SPD Tech Valley—the first industrial park in Southeast Asia to achieve LEED Gold pre-certification—and share our vision of smart, sustainable industrial management. Representing Malaysia on this global stage and showcasing our commitment to innovation and sustainability was an incredible honor.

Additionally, we are immensely grateful that the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Aminuddin, and the State Secretary, Dato’ Mohamad Zafir, visited our booth on November 7, 2024, at the CIIE. Their valuable support inspires us to keep moving forward, dedicated to advancing the prosperity and development of Negeri Sembilan.

SPD Tech Valley is strategically located in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, an area offering both geographical and strategic advantages, quickly emerging as a top investment destination for both international and local enterprises. Positioned within Malaysia’s economic corridor, the park is only a 45-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, close to Port Klang, and near Singapore. It offers a stable and ideal platform for global businesses to enter Southeast Asia, with convenient transportation and low natural disaster risks.

SPD Tech Valley aims to serve critical industries such as semiconductors, data centres, automotive manufacturing, electronics and electrical (E&E), and green energy, creating an intelligent, sustainable industrial ecosystem that fosters high-tech and green industries. Through interactive displays and models at this year’s CIIE, visitors were able to experience firsthand how the park leverages advanced green technology and smart management systems to optimize resource use, reduce carbon emissions, and help businesses operate sustainably. The park’s 79.95 acres of green space, sustained by a rainwater harvesting system, meets 100% of landscaping irrigation needs and is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50%. With a planned 64MW solar power supply system, energy costs are expected to be reduced by up to 15%, demonstrating Malaysia’s commitment to green, low-carbon development.

Seri Pajam Development’s CEO, Mr. Thomas Ten, stated, “The CIIE provides a strategically significant platform, enabling us to directly connect with Chinese enterprises and investors and showcase SPD Tech Valley’s potential to promote China-Malaysia industrial collaboration and support sustainable development. Through this expo, we hope to deepen cooperation and jointly contribute to the green transformation of the China-Malaysia economy.”

With intelligent design and green infrastructure, SPD Tech Valley is becoming a model of green industry for Negeri Sembilan and Malaysia. As one of Southeast Asia’s most forward-looking industrial parks, SPD Tech Valley has achieved LEED Gold certification, demonstrating excellence in environmental management and resource utilization. The park is equipped with EV charging stations, a smart waste management system, and solar infrastructure, fully supporting ESG values and providing companies with a green operational environment that meets international sustainability standards.

Looking forward, Seri Pajam Development Group will continue to promote deep collaboration between China and Malaysia in high-tech industries and sustainable development. We plan to showcase even more innovative achievements at the next CIIE. By continually expanding green facilities and introducing smart management technology, SPD Tech Valley will further solidify its position as a next-generation industrial ecosystem, providing businesses with a platform for innovation and growth, and laying a solid foundation for the long-term economic growth of both countries through smart and green innovation. We look forward to partnering with more Chinese companies to jointly contribute to the green transformation and sustainable development of the China-Malaysia economy.
