SPD Tech Valley Featured at Malaysia Pavilion – World Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan

Osaka, Japan — SPD Tech Valley is proud to have represented Negeri Sembilan and Malaysia on the global stage at the prestigious World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. Invited by the Negeri Sembilan State Government, SPD Tech Valley was showcased at the Malaysia Pavilion's Thematic Corner, aligning with the Expo’s theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”

Our participation underscores Malaysia’s commitment to driving smart, sustainable, and inclusive industrial growth — with SPD Tech Valley standing at the forefront of this transformation.

Honoured by a Royal Visit

The event was elevated by the esteemed presence of His Royal Highness Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, who visited the Malaysia Pavilion and graced the SPD Tech Valley thematic showcase. Accompanying His Royal Highness were:

  • YAB Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Aminuddin Harun, Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan

  • YB Teo Kok Seong, Negeri Sembilan State EXCO for Investment and Non-Muslim Affairs

  • Senior representatives from Invest Negeri Sembilan (Invest NS) and the official state delegation.

Their visit signified strong state support for Malaysia’s green industrial transformation and reinforced the positioning of SPD Tech Valley as a strategic national project within Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0).

Connecting Malaysia’s Industrial Future to the World

Throughout the exhibition, the SPD Tech Valley showcase attracted visitors, stakeholders, and potential partners from across Asia and beyond — including industrial players, trade commissioners, technology providers, and sustainability advocates.

Our team presented the park’s unique value proposition as Southeast Asia’s first LEED Gold Pre-Certified Industrial City and Community under the LEED for Cities & Communities v4.1 framework. With over 523 acres of freehold industrial land in the heart of Peninsular Malaysia, and direct access to high-capacity national infrastructure, SPD Tech Valley offers:

  • Smart Infrastructure with AI surveillance, fibre optics, and digital twin integration

  • Green Utilities with 64MW solar potential, rainwater harvesting, and energy-efficient planning

  • Managed Environment with dedicated centralised labour quarters (CLQ), a Business Support & Leisure Centre (BSLC), and 24/7 security

  • Alignment with NETR, NIMP 2030, and Malaysia’s ESG Roadmap for future-proof industrial investment.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties with Japan

The World Expo also served as a platform for deeper Malaysia-Japan engagement. With Japan being a key trade partner and technology leader in sectors such as semiconductors, electric mobility, precision engineering, and renewable energy, SPD Tech Valley aims to forge collaborative opportunities with Japanese businesses looking to expand into ASEAN.

We thank the State Government of Negeri Sembilan, Invest NS, and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) for their continued support and look forward to welcoming more global partners to Malaysia’s next-generation industrial park.
